Back in January I started my first Challenge Group and most of the members of the group are just about or have recently completed their 90 day programs. Programs like P90X, P90X2, TurboJam and Ten Minute Trainer to name a few. In my opinion the group had tremendous success and all of the members who were involved clearly benefited from the experience.
The first question you may be asking yourself is; “What is a Challenge Group?”
Great Question!
The concept of a Challenge group is based on a very simple but effective and proven formula:
FITNESS + NUTRITION + SUPPORT = SUCCESS
The Challenge Group consists of a relatively small, though sometimes they can be large, group of individuals who are committed to making changes in their lives from a health and fitness aspect. Typically the group will choose the Beachbody fitness program of their choice, commit to using Shakeology, and keep each other accountable through daily check-ins and feedback. A lot of the interaction will generally take place on Facebook in a private group that only those who are ready to commit to 60 or 90 days of changing their habits will have access to.
What Makes These Challenge Groups So Effective?
A small group tends to be a perfect environment where the members of that group will feed off of the energy and positive encouragement given to each other and in turn ensure that they are giving it their best effort. Ultimately this friendly competition is going to delivery better results in the end! What’s more interesting is that being a part of a Challenge Group will typically lead long lasting friendships because of all of the support that is provided and struggles that the group will share.

Joel
A P90X grad, I met up with Joel through WOWY on the TeamBeachbody.com site and he was really excited to get going. After just a few conversations with Joel, I knew that he was going be a great fit with our team and he did not disappoint. He was such a great motivational and comical addition to our group! Chris
This was his first venture into P90X. He was an animal, some days putting in 2-3 workouts! By the end of his 90 day journey, Chris’ experience with our team lead him decide to become a coach himself. I am glad to have him not only a part of the team in general, but also a part of the coaching team!

Ernie
When I first approached Ernie about the challenge group he was intrigued, but not sure what was involved. Once I explained to him the concept and how to get started, he was all in and excelled. Ernie looks like a new man and from recent conversations with him, he FEELS like a new man as well.

Robert is married to my Mom. I have had the pleasure to work out with him on numerous occasions when they come to visit. He has also been doing P90X off and on for the past couple of year and is getting primed to start P90X2 later this month.

How Do I Join a Challenge Group?
The first thing you will need to do is make sure that I am your coach. It’s completely FREE to make me your coach and you can do that here: Free Coaching. If you already have a coach and would like to switch to me as your coach, you can do that here: Coach Switch. As your coach, you will have constant access to me for your questions and I’ll provide you with support by daily checking into the group. You will also receive my weekly updates where I keep you updated with the latest happenings with myself and TeamBeachbody.
You’ll also need to be using Shakeology and a Beachbody program such as P90X, P90X2, Insanity, TurboFire etc… If you are unsure what program would be best for you, check out this page for additional information on Beachbody programs: Programs. The reason that Shakeology is a requirement is that I’ve been using Shakeology for quite awhile now and am 100% confident that it works am comfortable recommending it to everyone; including close friends and family! If you want to get the best results possible, you have to be using Shakeology as a meal replacement everyday and couple that with a diet as recommended with your program.

What Happens After I Join the Challenge Group?
You’ll want to start by sharing your goals with the group. This allows the other members of the group to know where you want to be in 60-90 days and help to keep you accountable towards those goals. Once you have started your fitness program; your daily responsibilities would include:
- You will want to post daily
- Let the group know what workout completed
- Submit questions to the group for feedback
- Provide positive support and feedback to other members
- Post nutrition for the previous day
- If desired, post photos of your progress (if you would rather not post them to the group, that is perfectly fine, but PLEASE DO TAKE THEM for your own personal reference)
What About Prizes?
By logging you workouts in the Team Beachbody WOWY SuperGym, you’ll be eligible to win daily prizes up to $1,000. Also, if you decide to enter the Beachbody Challenge, you can submit your results to possibly win the monthly $1,000 prize, the quarterly $5,000 prize and the grand-daddy prize of $100,000!
