It’s simple, easy, and effective. When you keep track of what you’re doing each day, you’ll stay on course toward your goals and improve your health. Score!
Your tracking method can be as simple or complex as you like. To make it easy (and rewarding), I suggest using the calendar that accompany your fitness program and workout sheets for each routine. With P90X and P90X3, you have access to the smartphone app, so tracking while traveling is easier. You can even log your workouts in the WOWY SuperGym on the TeamBeachbody.com website.
Daily activity tracking helps you:
1. Get a clear snapshot of your actual fitness routines.
You may intend to workout three days a week – but only tracking will tell you whether you really do. Find out if you’re really engaging in the activity you think you are.
2. Develop better habits.
Mere awareness goes a long way. When you know exactly how much you do (or don’t) move, you’ll find yourself naturally inclined to increase your activity.
3. Celebrate progress.
Changes in your fitness level often come so gradually that you scarcely notice them. Keeping track of what you’ve done helps you to appreciate how far you’ve come.
4. Stay motivated.
Nothing motivates like success and consistency. The more progress you see, the more likely you are to keep up the good work.
5. Get healthier and earn rewards.
Trimming your waistline and boosting your energy may be their own reward. However, at the end your journey, you can submit your results into the Beachbody Challenge and win some serious cash prizes.
