I hope everyone is enjoying the Memorial Day holiday weekend. I took an actual rest day yesterday, which I don’t do too often, but I decided that the final 3 weeks look tough enough that it would be wise to take it now. Our community pool opened up this weekend, but the weather didn’t cooperate around to accommodate much pool time…
Make sure you take some time today and consider the reason for the holiday and thank our service men and women if you see or know any of them!
The final phase on this hybrid brings in the PAP Lower and PAP Upper routines from P90X2. These two routines are unique in that they introduce a sequence of 4 totally different types of exercises, called a complex. The 4 types of exercises in each complex are broken down as Resistance, Contraction, Explosion and finally Stabilization.
There are 2 complexes in each routine, but within in each complex; you repeat the 4 exercises 4 times. This means you end up completing a total of 32 exercises. While that may not sound like a lot of work, trust me, you definitely are gassed by the end of these workouts.

The Spartacus Workout
Want a quick yet challenging 15-minute workout? Give this one a try! It is only 10 exercises, all of them timed for a 1-minute duration. Some are just body weight and you won’t need a lot of weight either, but others use dumbbells. I posted an article, along with a video that demonstrates all of the exercises so that you can give it a go for yourself.
