Hey Team!
So, I’m a day late here – my apologies. We had a lot going on this past weekend and I didn’t plan well enough to allow myself time to get this week’s Check-In done. Who has been catching the Winter Olympics? While I’m not a big Winter Olympics fan, it is fun to sit and watch the events with the kids. The athletes in some of these events are just incredible!
Week #7 of P90X3 is a transition/rest week though I am not too sure that I need it to be honest… I’ll stick to the schedule as it is defined with the program, but I might do some of the 21 Day Fix routines with Debbie this week to get a taste of those workouts. The final block of X3 actually is 1 week longer than the previous 2 and the schedule mixes in workouts from the previous 2 blocks – it should be a great finish to what has been a great program thus far.
What’s Going on Here?
Not seeing the results you wanted or expected? Do you feel like you’ve hit a plateau? There are a number of factors at work here, but I’ll focus on the two that I feel hinder most people.
How effective are your workouts?
Do you regularly push yourself to the limit? Do you feel the burn with each rep? Do you have nothing left to give when it’s over?
Or would you describe your workout more like a comfortable trot? Do you coast along, breaking a respectable sweat while doing the same old routine?
How much are you really focusing on your nutrition?
Nutrition is a big stumbling block for most people. If your nutrition is out of control then your results will be too, plain and simple. You can’t trim your waist without trimming the junk from your nutrition.
Start by keeping your total calories in check. Do you know how many calories you eat? The best way to find out is to record everything you eat for a few days. There are a few ways to do this. Manually of course or using an app on your smartphone or through a capable website. MyFitnessPal.com is a great option here and one that I would recommend. It’s a completely free app and setting up an account is simple.
Use one of those methods to tally the number of calories that you eat each day and do an evaluation of exactly what you are eating. See any areas that you think you could improve upon? I’d be happy to review your diary and suggest some ways to improve – just ask!
How much “junk food” are you eating? Be honest! I think that we all know what junk food is, but sometimes we give allowances in this area after doing “good” with our nutrition for a few days. This is a false reality. Stop eating junk food. Any item with refined sugar, such as soft drinks, blended coffee drinks, cookies, cakes, packaged snacks, and other sinfully sweet treats, need to be off-limits. Basically you should be avoiding all processed or refined items – they are typically junk food.
21 Day Fix – Update
The backlog of shipment delays on shipping of 21 Day Fix kits should just about be cleared up by now. My sincere apologies for the delays here, the program had larger than expected demand and they simply sold out of the product within the first 3 days!
If you haven not yet received your kit or notification of your kit being shipped, I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND that you contact the Team Beachbody customer service department. Unfortunately, this isn’t something that I can handle on your behalf; otherwise, I would be more than happy to do so. You can contact the customer service department via email; customerservice@teambeachbody.com or you can give them a call at the following number: (800) 470-7870.
21 Day Fix Calorie Buckets & Tally Sheets
For those of you have ordered the 21 Day Fix, you will want to read through the Eating Guide that accompanies the program. Once you have done that you should have a pretty good idea of where the containers and the container system come into play.
If you are still a little confused, I created a blog post that should help you out a little bit and provide you with a download for additional Tally Sheets as you progress through the 21 days. Jeff L. Lost 35 lb. and Won $500 with P90X!
Jeff is fellow Beachbody coach and what I would consider a friend. I was saying “It’s About Time!” when I heard the news that he was recently named a daily Beachbody Challenge Contest winner. Check out his awesome transformation and story about his journey.
Here is the intro to the article:
“While I didn’t know Jeff during the days of his “before” photo, I’ve have gotten to know him a little more over the past couple of years and he’s a true inspiration! Just like me, he’s a father of 4, but he committed to making a change in his life to improve his own health and fitness and has been going strong ever since, even after a few shoulder surgeries!”

Let’s help others and pay it forward!
How many of you have/know someone that you think would benefit from being a part of this group? We all probably know SOMEONE that may be struggling with health and fitness.
Who do you know that has high cholesterol, blood pressure issues or blood sugar problems? Do you know someone that needs to lose weight, tone up or gain weight?
If you think you know someone, even if it is just one person, let me know and let’s get them plugged in. A little friendly competition is always beneficial to those involved.
Got a question?
I also wanted to make sure that everyone on my team is aware that I am here for YOU! If you have ANY questions related to health and fitness, don’t hesitate to contact me directly either on Facebook or via email (coachchris@yourfitnesspath.com). I am always willing to provide feedback and suggestions on ways that you can get the results that you are after.
And 2 favors that I ask:
1) If you like the hard work I put into writing my articles and videos, PLEASE help me out by sharing them. Click the share links below them and share them on FB, twitter, etc. It really helps me get more exposure and grow our team!
2) Also, as always, remember that the way I benefit from being your coach is that I earn a commission from any Beachbody products that you purchase, as long as you buy them through my site, www.yourfitnesspath.com, or by logging in to www.teambeachbody.com to do your shopping (If you buy from the plain beachbody site I get no credit). It helps with the amount of time I spend answering all your questions and helping you out.
Thank you! I really appreciate it!
