The month of May is flying by….errrr…should I say racing by. Indy car reference, sorry, terrible humor… May is already half over and Memorial Day weekend will be here in less than two weeks! How many of you had this date on your calendars where it was related to a health and fitness goal? While it’s not the official start of summer, for many, including myself, it is the start of pool season and certainly warmer weather. I know as long as the weather is cooperative, the kiddos and I will be at the pool as much as possible this summer.
While it may be too late to get that body you were hoping for by Memorial weekend, it is NEVER too late to get started! Did you perhaps start back in April, but gave up before the end of the month? Or maybe, you purchased the program back in January, but never actually started… What were your excuses then? Do they still hold water now? Consistency in effort will determine your success, no matter what you are trying to succeed at. This is not just a principle of health and fitness either. Think about it!
You have to be the one that decides that you are ready to commit! You have to be the one that tells yourself; “NOW IS THE TIME!” Not your spouse, not your doctor and not your best friend(s).

I Can’t Believe What Is In Shakeology
Ever since I started using Shakeology, I am amazed at how versatile it is. Beachbody publishes over 60 different recipes for each flavor; you could literally have a different shake everyday for 5 solids months! Not only are the recipes that are out there awesome, the product itself is unbelievable from a nutritional standpoint. Have you ever wondered what is in that stuff to make it such a healthy option? Well…so did I and I recently wrote a blog post all about it!

Body Beast –Sneak Peak
After a lot of hype and speculation, this week Beachbody took the wraps off of product that has been requested by many P90X fans! Well, officially it is still in development, but they did manage to get all of the chopping at the bit to get any information about the new program, a little tastes of what is in store.

From there you can watch a release “trailer” of the program. While I am not sure when I will consider tackling this program, it does claim that you can “Gain 10 pounds of muscle in 90 days”. That sounds great to me, and I would really like to see the nutritional requirements and the equipment requirements before I make a decision. Another factor is that I plan to hit the Ultimate Reset after my current hybrid, so this may get pushed back. Which is okay, that will give the rest of the community some time to give it a go and I’ll get to hear about it from them.
The anticipated release date of this program is “Summer 2012”. Be sure that once the official release date is made public and additional details are available, I’ll pass them along.
