Hey Team!
It was a pretty exciting weekend for me at home. The lovely Mrs. Coburn decided to move a large piece of furniture out of the area that I currently workout in and this gave me a TON more room to BRING IT! Not only that, but we have been doing some minor updates around the house, in particular to our bathrooms and swapping out the old unframed mirrors with some that are bit more decorative. As a result, those old mirrors found a new home on the walls of my expanded workout area. I have only been able to workout once since putting everything in place, but I love the new setup. I’ll post some photos of the new setup once we have a fresh coat of paint on the walls.
Only 3 week left with Body Beast and so I have entered the final cutting phase, but in reality, I don’t have much to cut, since I haven’t gained all that much. I plan to stick with my current macronutrient ratios and total calorie intake for the next 3 weeks, maybe even up them a little.

Importance of Before/After Photos
If you started or recommitted to your health and fitness on Jan 1 or near that time, you should definitely be seeing changes that are happening. The changes after 30 days are sometimes hard to notice, even by your own eyes. You look at yourself everyday in the mirror, probably countless times, and just see YOU.
People around you may have also noticed a change in your appearances, your mood and your energy levels. Any while you may be like most people and politely thank them for noticing and not make a big deal of the compliment publicly, take pride in your accomplishments thus far!
I have always tried to take progress photos for reason I mentioned above. You, yourself, won’t see the changes to you body like others will and do. If you are capturing your progress in photos consistently, it will be easier for you to recognize where you have come from and how close in your own mind you are to where you want to be.
If you are scared to death at the thought of sharing your photos with anyone, that’s ok and perfectly normal. Take the photos for YOURSELF! You will regret it after the fact otherwise. You don’t have to share them, but when you lay the day 1 photo next to your day 90 photo, you are going to be amazed at what you have been able to accomplish!

Beachbody Challenge – Monthly Contest
Another reason you’ll want to take your before and after photos is for your submission to the Beachbody Challenge Daily and Monthly contests. There are only a few days left in the month of February, so if you have had results that you are proud of and want a chance to win some cash ($500 for the daily contest and $1000 for the monthly contest), be sure you submit your entry before 11:59 PM EST on 2/28/2013.

Equipment Needed for P90X
Despite how long it has been around, many people still aren’t sure exactly what equipment they will need in order to get started with P90X. If you have ever thought about this program and would like to know, I recently posted an article that details just that.
