Hey Team!
I hope everyone enjoyed the Easter weekend! I think that the weather around here is finally starting to feel like Spring.
This week wasn’t much easier with my hybrid of P90X2 and Asylum 2, but since I had already completed the 1st week, I was aware of what lie ahead going into week #2. I think that I faired pretty well, but took a full rest day on Sunday. Rest is important, I struggle with taking days off most of the time, I always feel like doing some kind of workout, it has gotten to be a habit for me and when I don’t workout in the early AM, I just feel weird and a bit guilty…Kinda lame, I know. Do take the rest days that are built into the programs, your body doesn’t grow/change during the time you are working out, it make the most significant changes outside of that time.
The first 3 months of the year are already behind us! That means if you started a 90-day program on 1/1/2013, you should be wrapping it up. How did you do? Did you meet your goals? If so, awesome! What’s next for you? If not, think back on the past 90 days and consider what might have sabotaged your success. Was it nutrition? Was it your lack of commitment to the fitness program, skipped too many workouts?
It’s completely OK, if you didn’t quite reach your goals, but it’s important to recognize the factors that might have contributed to that. Just recently, I found myself using a very insightful question that is from a book I read not too long ago. It says; “Ask yourself the following question. What is it that you are pretending not to know?”
Have you ever found that you just simply aren’t making progress towards your goals? Sometimes you are doing everything right and it just simply hasn’t happened for you. That is when you may need to ask for help from someone that may have been there before, gone down that same road. I’m always available, by the way, shoot me an email and I’ll do my best to help! However, many times, you already know the answer and you are simply not being honest enough with yourself to admit that.
Maybe you quit on the last couple of reps during P90X Shoulder & Arms, or didn’t quite give it everything you had for the final 10 minutes of you most recent Insanity routine. You told yourself, that one or two pieces of carrot cake won’t hurt, or that extra helping of mashed potatoes with butter and shredded cheese was your last cheat.
Well, I am here to tell you, you’ve have got to be focused the entire time on your end goal. Once you start making decisions about the things that you are doing everyday with that in mind, you will have no other option but to get there! If you are willing to live with the setbacks, no matter how small, then go right ahead, keep on doing what you are doing. Eat that cheat meal, skip Yoga or stop tracking your nutrition.
However, if you want to take it to the next level and really buckle down and COMMIT, it’s only 90 days, sometimes only 60, go out and do something that you have never done before!
Let’s get after it; this is the beginning of a new month, a new quarter. Why not make it the beginning of a new you!
Will Power versus Why Power
In last week’s check-in I touched on this, but I felt like it was important enough to warrant it’s own blog post. So I expanded upon a little of what I mentioned last week in an article I posted. Feel free to re-read it, even if you got it last week. If you missed it, you can check out it now!
Here is the intro to the article:
“We all have heard of Will Power right? It’s that phrase that so many of us have used to rely upon when we want to make a change in our lives. Here we are specifically talking about a change from a health and fitness perspective, but my point will apply to ANYTHING in your life that you want to change.”
Lastly
I’m looking for a few select leaders this month to help us change the world. If you want to do something truly fulfilling while you’re working on your own health & fitness AND earning a nice side income, go here now…

Let’s help others and pay it forward!
How many of you have/know someone that you think would benefit from being a part of this group? We all probably know SOMEONE that may be struggling with health and fitness.
Who do you know that has high cholesterol, blood pressure issues or blood sugar problems? Do you know someone that needs to lose weight, tone up or gain weight?
If you think you know someone, even if it is just one person, let me know and let’s get them plugged in. A little friendly competition is always beneficial to those involved.
Got a question?
I also wanted to make sure that everyone on my team is aware that I am here for YOU! If you have ANY questions related to health and fitness, don’t hesitate to contact me directly either on Facebook or via email (coachchris@yourfitnesspath.com). I am always willing to provide feedback and suggestions on ways that you can get the results that you are after.
And 2 favors that I ask:
1) If you like the hard work I put into writing my articles and videos, PLEASE help me out by sharing them. Click the share links below them and share them on FB, twitter, etc. It really helps me get more exposure and grow our team!
2) Also, as always, remember that the way I benefit from being your coach is that I earn a commission from any Beachbody products that you purchase, as long as you buy them through my site, www.yourfitnesspath.com, or by logging in to www.teambeachbody.com to do your shopping (If you buy from the plain beachbody site I get no credit). It helps with the amount of time I spend answering all your questions and helping you out.
Thank you! I really appreciate it!
