Hey Team!
Today starts my final Rest Week of my P90X2/Asylum 2 hybrid. However, looking at the schedule, there are a few routines that are far from what would normally be considered “rest”. I am now less than 30 days from leaving for Las Vegas so it’s time to really dial in the nutrition! My 60-day measurements and numbers were pretty much the same as those that were taken on day 30.
As I mentioned before once I get back from Las Vegas, I’ll be starting the new program from Shaun T, Focus T25. So, if you are interested in getting started with me, shoot me an email! I am keeping an eye out for details on the program once they are released and once they are, I will make them available to you ASAP.
Change Is Easy…Right?
Humor me the next time you are brushing your teeth, use the opposite hand that you normally would use. Feels weird, awkward and just plain wrong doesn’t it? The same can be said for many other things you do on a day-to-day basis, when you skip something or it isn’t done in the way that you normally do them, you tend to feel like something is off or amiss.
A habit is another name for this sort of thing. A habit is what you repeated do everyday, good or bad. All of us have habits, most of them are good and we probably do them in a mostly subconscious manner. Though, the same can possibly be said for your bad habits. The habits and routines that we establish for ourselves actually allow us to go through our day without going crazy with stress that would come with constantly thinking about every little thing we manage to get done.
I have been able to establish a habit of working out every morning it has gotten to be just part of my daily routine. On the days that my morning routine is shifted or disrupted, the rest of my day just seems off a little. Are there days that I would rather sleep in and skip it? Heck yeah! But I do it everyday for several reasons…
Not everyone has the same reasons as those that I listed above, but if you don’t have at least 1 or 2 really good reasons that drive to WANT to workout, there’s a pretty good chance that 1 missed workout is going to lead to 2 and then 3 and so on… Before you know it, a month has gone by and you haven’t been consistent for a single week. The same principle can be applied to your nutrition. One cookie here, an ice cream cone there and suddenly you have accumulated an extra 1000 calories for the week without even being aware of it!
Are you are aware of your bad habits?
Changing your bad habits into good ones can often be difficult and painful at first. Becoming more aware of your bad habits is the first and foremost step in the process.
Set yourself up for success, rather than failure, when you know that these types of situations will occur. Think of simple ways to ensure that you don’t end up making a bad choice when you encounter them. Of course, I am not perfect in this area either… I have several things that I know I need to work on, but as I mentioned before, it’s a process and sometimes it just takes longer than you expect or would like it to. But that doesn’t mean that you give up on it. No, you keep working and make strides towards that change, that goal!
All of you have it in you to succeed at this! I’m here to help!
How can I help you?
Calling All Dads!
I posted an article this week that I hoped to light a fire to any of those dads out there that follow me and what I am doing, but haven’t yet gotten started. I even recruited the help of some of my fellow dad friends to get some outside perspective on the different topics covered. If you are a dad or know someone who is that is still just “talking” about making a change in his life, I would encourage you to read and share this article.
Here is the intro to the article:
“I have been a father for just over 9 years now. Having kids really does change everything! Your daily schedule, your priorities and responsibilities are all shifted once you bring a child into the world. This is not necessarily a bad thing mind you. Actually, the arrival of a child can force you to bring about changes in your life that were once put on the back-burner.”

Let’s help others and pay it forward!
How many of you have/know someone that you think would benefit from being a part of this group? We all probably know SOMEONE that may be struggling with health and fitness.
Who do you know that has high cholesterol, blood pressure issues or blood sugar problems? Do you know someone that needs to lose weight, tone up or gain weight?
If you think you know someone, even if it is just one person, let me know and let’s get them plugged in. A little friendly competition is always beneficial to those involved.
Got a question?
I also wanted to make sure that everyone on my team is aware that I am here for YOU! If you have ANY questions related to health and fitness, don’t hesitate to contact me directly either on Facebook or via email (coachchris@yourfitnesspath.com). I am always willing to provide feedback and suggestions on ways that you can get the results that you are after.
And 2 favors that I ask:
1) If you like the hard work I put into writing my articles and videos, PLEASE help me out by sharing them. Click the share links below them and share them on FB, twitter, etc. It really helps me get more exposure and grow our team!
2) Also, as always, remember that the way I benefit from being your coach is that I earn a commission from any Beachbody products that you purchase, as long as you buy them through my site, www.yourfitnesspath.com, or by logging in to www.teambeachbody.com to do your shopping (If you buy from the plain beachbody site I get no credit). It helps with the amount of time I spend answering all your questions and helping you out.
Thank you! I really appreciate it!
