Hey Team!
Yesterday I participated in the Insanity Certification class and it was amazing and exhausting at the same time. While, I don’t know the results of my test at this point, I am fairly confident I passed. This was a single day training class, but it was 9-5 and while there is a little classroom learning early in the day, the majority of the time is spent working out…Insanity style! Insanity, of course, is a body-weight only fitness program, but that doesn’t mean it is any less intense. By the end of the day, I was already feeling in my legs!
At the moment, I don’t have any classes lined up to start leading, but it could be something that I consider and will look into. I was required to lead our class of about 30 people for a brief 2-minute period. A bit nerve racking at first, but once it started it seemed like it was over.
5 Tips/Suggestions to Improve Your Life – Today!
Here are 5 more thoughts/ideas that you can use throughout your week to help you improve your life. I can honestly say that each of these 5 things I try to do on a daily basis. Well, maybe not the “Treat Yourself” one, treating yourself everyday kind of removes the “treat” aspect.
1. Be You
Rather than conforming to those around you, focus on the strengths and abilities you bring to the table. You are a worthwhile human being; don’t mask that by acting like someone you are not.
2. Treat Yourself
Life can’t be all hard work. Make sure to take time to reward yourself occasionally along the way. Taking a moment for yourself will revive and refresh you and ensure that you’re ready to continue the good fight.
3. You Can’t Change Genetics but You Can Change Your Attitude
Don’t blame your parents for the hand you were dealt, instead change your attitude and conquer what it is you do not like about yourself. Each individual has the ability to change and the ability to control the way you respond to obstacles that you approach.
4. Fail Forward
If you fear trying new things because you might fail, you have failed. Only by trying and “Failing Forward” can you learn new things that will allow you to reach your goals. Failure isn’t final; you can always overcome your mistakes and become a stronger, better you because of them.
5. Identify Your Magic Time
Magic time is the hours in the day where you are the most productive. During this time period you can accomplish double if not more than you can at any other time during the day. Flush out when your magic time is so you can use it to focus on the most important tasks you must tackle.
Sports Related Injuries – Prevention and Treatment
Since I recently suffered a sprained ankle, I thought it might be helpful for others to blog about it. While all injuries are different, generally injuries suffered while working out tend to be sprains or strains to ligament and tendons, as was the case for me. I put together some info on sports related injuries and how to prevent and treat them.
