I am so excited to share this success story with you! Many of you probably already know that Debbie is my wife and has been determined to get back the body that she had before the birth of our twin girls almost 2 years ago.
In the past, Debbie had completed Chalean Extreme and Insanity with great results. Back in March, she decide that she wanted to give P90X2 a try after my recommendation. Keep in mind that Debbie wasn’t much of a fan of the original P90X, so I wasn’t sure if she would like P90X2 either?
However, the program began to grow on her and part of that might have been due to the fact that I was also doing the P90X2/Asylum 2 hybrid and there were numerous days that the two of us got to workout together, which was awesome!
Here is Debbie’s story in her own words:
While pregnant with our twins I knew I needed more calories than I had with my previous two pregnancies. The only problem was that I was eating all the wrong calories! I gained over 50 lbs during my pregnancy with the twins. After our girls were born I was finding that the weight was not coming off near as easy as it did with my first two.
In January 2012, five months after the girls were born, I had not lost all my weight and was not happy with the way I looked. I needed to do something!! I decided to try my first Beachbody program; Chalean Extreme. It got me active and I really enjoyed the program. Still trying to reach my goal, I thought I would try Insanity. I was able to reach my pre-pregnancy weight by the end of it. Yay!
In January 2013, I was happy with my weight, but my pre-pregnancy weight did NOT equal my pre-pregnancy body! I gave Insanity another round. I was definitely getting stronger, but I’d reached a plateau with my stomach (aka, my problem area!)
Chris suggested I switch from cardio based training to strength training. He was going to be doing some P90X2, so I decided to give it a try. He also got me plugged into a challenge group on Facebook that would keep me motivated. I hooked up with a friend from school that had said she would do X2 along with me. It was great to reconnect and have someone to keep me accountable.
I also knew that I needed to do something with my nutrition. I was definitely guilty of eating too much junk food and drinking too much Dr. Pepper! I gave Shakeology a try. Honestly, the first day, I didn’t like it. The second day, I didn’t like it. By the third day, I had found my recipe and I was hooked! I also began tracking calories with MyFitnessPal. I didn’t do this consistently, but I had good weeks with it. Even on the days that I didn’t enter my food…I had an idea of how I was doing. I still had cheat days, but I was doing much better. By day 60, I was starting to see abs! That gave me the motivation to do my best with nutrition the last 30 days.
By day 90, I had not gained or lost any weight, however, my body had changed. I had not worked harder with P90X2 than with my other programs, but what a difference drinking Shakeology and eating healthier had made! Flexed, I was definitely seeing abs that I have NEVER seen!
I can honestly say it was a fun 90 days. It went by fast and I feel like I’m in better shape now than I have been in since high school. The Facebook group was great, my husband is awesome J and I’m looking forward to the next program,T25, with him!

Fantastic story. I truly believe that diet is the part that most people miss. I am a huge of the beachbody product and I have found that it is the nutrition and eating right that make a huge difference. Love this story and excited to share.
