Sticking to single ingredient foods is generally always going to be a healthier option for you and your family. However, it can be difficult to avoid processed foods given how prevalent they are in the food industry.
I am not telling you to avoid any and all processed foods, in an ideal world…yes, but I know for many of you, that’s simply not possible. To be quite honest, there are a lot of foods that are “processed” that are perfectly fine and won’t hinder your progress towards your health and fitness goals.
Processed Foods To Avoid
This awesome infographic that myfitnesspal recently blogged is an excellent representation of how the processing of a single ingredient food ends up on the grocery store shelf. In every example, there really is no reason to need anything other than the original food item! Stick with whole food sources in your daily nutrition and you’ll find that you feel better and you will also see faster results.
