10 Rules for Hardgainers
I’ll admit it, for quite some time, I considered myself to be a “hardgainer” and really felt like I would be stuck with the body that had to the rest of my life. Thankfully, I was began to educate myself on what it actually takes to build muscle and took the things that I learned to shape the physique that I have today.

You may also feel like you fall into this “hardgainer” category and want to figure a way to start making some progress. T-Nation recently published a pretty decent article that lays out 10 rules for hardgainer. I agree with for the most part… One point the article discussed genetics and how one should not blame genetics on your lack of progress. While I do agree, that genetics should never be a crutch by which you lean on, they do play a role in your overall potential.
At some point, albeit after many years of training, you will likely reach your “natural” genetic potential and unfortunately, there isn’t much that you can do about it, short of turning to drugs. This certainly does not mean that you will not be able to build an impressive physique within your genetic potential – far from it! In fact, most guys actually never reach the point of genetic potential and are perfectly happy with the body that they have built.
If you are a classic hardgainer, trust me, you’ve got a lot of room to work with and there is no reason you can’t have the body your are looking to achieve!

What is Success?
How do you define success? There is a pretty good chance that your own personal definition of this word is going to be different than the person sitting next to you! This is especially true when you start defining personal success.
